Privacy Policy

Resume Formatter is operated by RemoteCruit. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions any time: info@remotecruit.com.

Account information — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), avatar choice, and workspace details.

Resume content — the resumes you upload and the formatted documents generated from them, stored in your workspace history so your team can re-download them.

Usage and billing records — credit balances, usage history, and (when payments launch) payment method display details such as card brand and last four digits. We never store full card numbers.

We use your information only to provide and improve the Service: processing resumes into formatted documents, maintaining your history, sending transactional emails (verification codes, password resets, team invitations, support replies), and keeping the Service secure. Resume text is processed by automated AI systems solely to generate your documents. Our team does not read your uploaded resumes except when you explicitly ask us to help with a support issue that requires it.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your resumes to train AI models. We do not send marketing to your candidates. We do not share workspace content with anyone outside your workspace.

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run the Service — secure cloud hosting and databases, AI processing for resume extraction, and transactional email delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and confidentiality obligations.

All data is encrypted in transit, access is protected by row-level security so each workspace can only see its own data, passwords are hashed, and verification and reset codes are stored only as hashes with short expirations.

Your content stays in your workspace until you delete it. Deleting a resume from History removes it from your workspace. If you delete your account, access is terminated immediately; residual records may be retained for a limited period for security, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes before being removed.

We use only what the Service needs to function: a session token to keep you signed in and local preferences such as your light/dark theme choice. No third-party advertising trackers.

You can access and update your profile in Settings, export your documents from History, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) — email us and we'll help.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and notify account owners of material changes by email.
